Dr. Savalei is a quantitative psychologist whose research focuses on structural equation modeling (SEM) and the development of new estimation methods for incomplete and nonideal data. She has introduced and continues to refine the two-stage (TS) method for handling missing data. Her work addresses issues such as nonnormality, categorical data, small samples, and model fit evaluation. In addition to advancing SEM methodology, she examines common analytical practices in the field and promotes best statistical practices in light of current replicability concerns.
