Sells Award

The Sells Award for Distinguished Multivariate Research is named for Saul B. Sells, a founder and an early President of SMEP (1962), who provided a generous gift that is used to fund this award.

Tanaka Award

The Tanaka Award for Annual Best Article in MBR is named for Jeffrey Tanaka, an outstanding and well-liked member of SMEP who died in 1992.

Eber Award

The Eber Distinguished Service Award was initiated by the Trustees in 2004 to recognize extraordinary service to the Society. 

SMEP Early Career Research Award

The SMEP Early Career Research Award is given annually by the Society to a young researcher who has made outstanding contributions to multivariate experimental psychology and who shows promise of continued work of a very high quality.

Barbara Byrne Award

The Barbara Byrne Award for outstanding book or edited volume on multivariate analysis (e.g., multivariate methods, quantitative psychology, psychometrics, individual differences) is named after Barbara Byrne, an outstanding member of SMEP.
