Dr. Mijke Rhemtulla

Bio:

Mijke Rhemtulla is a professor of quantitative psychology at UC Davis, where she develops and studies methods and models within the SEM framework, focusing on practical issues such as fitting models to ordinal and incomplete data and optimizing planned missing data designs for SEM models, as well as theoretical issues such as whether it’s possible to discern the best measurement model from empirical data. She takes a pragmatic approach to measurement issues in psychological science, examining how the common measurement models and practices in psychology can lead to correct or incorrect interpretations of the world. Recently, she spends time thinking about how to integrate so-called “network psychometric” models into a broader measurement perspective.
