Dr. Adriene Beltz

Bio:

Dr. Beltz is a Professor of Psychology and a Research Professor in the Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. She combines multimodal study designs, including functional brain imaging and 100-day intensive longitudinal data collection, with person-specific time series analyses to reveal when individuals are (and are not) well-represented by averages. Much of her work leverages precision temporal network methods to map functional brain processes, focusing on networks underlying links between gonadal hormones at key developmental periods (e.g., puberty and the reproductive years) and aspects of sex-related cognition and psychopathology.

Dr. Beltz has received the Rising Star Award from the Association for Psychological Science as well as multiple awards from the American Psychological Association, including the Brenda A. Milner Award, the Anne Anastasi Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award, and the Committee on Women in Psychology Leadership Award. She has also received a Jacobs Foundation Early Career Research Fellowship. Finally, she has served or is serving as an action editor for multiple journals, including as an Associate Editor of Multivariate Behavioral Research.
