2019 SMEP Annual Meeting

The 2019 SMEP Annual Meeting will be held October 9 through 12 at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD (address: 110 South Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD, 21201; phone 410-962-0202). Reservations at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor can be made here.  

With a rich history of over 300 years, Baltimore is Maryland’s largest city and its economic hub. Known as “Charm City”, Baltimore is one of the top tourist destinations in the US. In the old days, the Inner Harbor played a critical role in making Baltimore a national leader in shipbuilding, steel processing, and transportation. By the end of the 20th century, the port was successfully transformed into a bustling tourist destination. Nowadays, the Inner Harbor is abundant in world-class museums, unique waterfront attractions, historical sites, and distinctive restaurants, bars, music venues, art studios, and shops. Conveniently located in the central area of the Inner Harbor, the Annual Meeting venue is only a few steps from the glamorous entertainment and activities in Charm City.

Meeting Dates and Times: There will be an optional evening reception Wednesday, October 9. The meeting program will begin the morning of Thursday, October 10 and continue through the banquet dinner on Saturday, October 12, 6:00-9:00 pm (business casual dress).
